Steel sheet pile products are divided into two types according to production process: cold-formed thin-walled steel sheet piles and hot-rolled steel sheet piles.
There are two types of cold-formed steel sheet piles: non bite type cold-formed steel sheet piles (also known as channel plates) and bite type cold-formed steel sheet piles (divided into L-type, S-type, U-type, Z-type). Production process: Continuously roll forming using thinner sheets (typically 8mm~14mm in thickness) in a cold bending machine.

Hot rolled steel sheet piles are mainly classified into several categories and dozens of specifications, such as U-shaped, Z-shaped, AS shaped, and H-shaped, in the world. The production, processing, and installation processes of Z-type and AS-type steel sheet piles are relatively complex, mainly used in Europe and America; U-shaped steel sheet piles are mainly used in China.
